A successful innovation and cooperation seminar was hosted in the UK by China Britain Business Council. The meeting held at the Cafe Royale in London was attended by many dignitaries and business leaders from Jinan including Wang Zhonglin, Party Secretary, Jinan Municipal Party Committee who delivered the Keynote speech. Also in attendance, and a measure of the importance of the seminar was Vice Mayor of Jinan Li Zijun and leaders of major business in Jinan. On the British side dignitaries included Andrew Mennear from BP and Jonathan Bewes of Standard Chartered Bank.
A number of exciting innovative companies were presented and highlighted the opportunities for future cooperation and development of new business between the two communities. Such cooperative ventures we believe will increasingly be the norm when companies look to trade with China. We offer help and guidance for companies looking to embark on this process and expect enquires for this kind of cooperation to accelerate over the coming 18 months as the effects of Brexit start to be felt in the UK.
This is an exciting time for UK businesses and this seminar highlighted some of the many opportunities on offer to companies looking to trade in China.
